Signup / Register for 2026 events

We’re excited to have you join us for our event—whether you’re participating, volunteering, or bringing a boat and driving. We need you all!

What’s New for 2026

  • Separate sign-up pages
There are now three different sign-up pages: one for participants, one for volunteers, and one for boat drivers. Please be sure to use the correct page and only use one of them.
  • Flexible event registration
When you sign up, you can choose to register for a single event or all seven events at once.
  • One release form for the entire season
You will only need to sign the MDWSA and USA Water Ski release forms once for the entire summer—even if you participate in all seven events.
  • Additional information required
Participants and boat drivers will be asked to answer a few extra questions so we can gather necessary details ahead of each event.
  • Individual sign-ups required
Each person must register separately. In previous years, minors volunteering with a parent could be included on one form, but this year every individual must complete their own registration.

Please only signup for those events you plan to attend and we understand you may have last minute changes, please cancel as early as possible if you can’t come.

There is no cost for the event. However, donations are welcome and tax deductible; checks should be made out to MDWSA.  Lunch will be provided.

Once you register, you will receive a confirmation e-mail.  You will also receive a reminder e-mail three days prior to the event and another e-mail one day prior to the event.

If you have any questions, send us a message with your inquiry.

Athlete / Participants

As a participant, you must be approximately one year post-injury and in good overall health (aside from your disability). This means you should have no open wounds, recent surgeries, or conditions that could be unsafe in the water.

Scheduling:
You can sign up for either the AM or PM time slot (times vary by event). If you’re in the AM session, you’re welcome to stay for the PM session, and vice versa—come early or hang around afterward to enjoy fellowship!

Safety Considerations:
You will be towed behind a boat or watercraft at speeds up to 25 MPH. Your body must be able to handle the impact of hitting the water at these speeds. If you have any concerns that this may cause pain or injury, please consult your physician before participating. For more details, see our Intake Assessment.

Experience the Thrill:
Want to be one of our athletes? Fantastic! We’ll work with you in a safe, supportive environment, helping you enjoy water skiing, boat riding, jet skiing, and inner tube rides.

More information can be found here.

Volunteers and Caregivers

We have a variety of positions available, or you can choose to be placed wherever help is needed most. Most roles do not require any water skiing experience—we only need a small number of experienced skiers.

If you don’t have experience, no problem! Training will be provided for everyone on the day of the clinics.

Available Roles:

  • Wet Shore Assistance & Safety Jumpers (Boats)
This is our largest area of need. You should be comfortable in the water, and you will be wearing a life jacket. You will also be responsible for assisting with lifting and supporting individuals with disabilities in and out of the water.
  • Dry Fitting & Instruction / Equipment Marshals
Great for those who prefer to stay dry, are comfortable with basic tools, or don’t mind helping move and organize equipment.
  • Food & Beverage / Registration
Ideal if you’re comfortable with paperwork and don’t mind helping with food service.
  • Photography (Stills & Video)
For those with a good camera and experience capturing photos or video.
  • Pin Puller, Spotter & Rope Handlers (Experienced Only)
These roles are for trained and experienced individuals.
  • Caregiver
If you are accompanying someone and unable to volunteer—or prefer not to—this is the right option.
Note: At Wright City and Holiday Shores, everyone on-site must sign a release. At other events, a release is required only if you will be in a boat.

Bringing and driving a boat

Thank you for signing up to bring your boat—we truly couldn’t host these events without you!

For safety reasons, inboard boats are required. I/O and outboard engines are not permitted, with the exception of pontoon boats.

Event-Specific Needs:

  • Lake Saint Louis (all three events):
Inboard boats are needed for both towing and chase boats. All boats must have a valid LSL CA sticker. Pontoon boats will be used at these events.
  • Forest Lake (Wright City) & Creve Coeur:
Inboard boats will be used as tow boats, and jet skis are needed for chase support. Pontoon boats will not be used.

Registration Details:

  • Each sign-up covers one boat and one driver. If you are bringing multiple boats, please complete a separate registration for each.
  • If you have a preferred pin puller or rope handler, they must register separately as a volunteer.
  • Pin pullers must be at least 15 years old and either have prior experience or have completed a certification class.

As the boat captain, you always have the final say on who is in your boat.
